Nippori before noon
Nippori is the stop people pass through on the Keisei Skyliner from Narita. Fabric Town, the cemetery cats of Yanaka, and a station that always looks like it's about to be renovated. It isn't Ikebukuro. That's the appeal. Nobody here is performing.
X-ESTHE (クロスエステ) is listed on CityHeaven as a hotel health (ホテヘル) under Nippori / Nishi-Nippori. Address 2-54-8 Nishi-Nippori, Arakawa-ku. Phone 03-6806-8308. Hours 9:00 to 24:00. Its event pages are dated from March 13, so the shop is about seven months old. One small thing: the header says クロスエステ ("cross esthe"), while the shop's own copy reads it as エクスエステ ("ex-esthe"). Either one works on the phone. Saying "ヘブン見た" ("I saw it on Heaven") is what unlocks the deals.
The pitch is "a hideaway for executive men." I'm a guy in a Mets cap on a Saturday morning. I went anyway.
How the front desk works
This is the part that's different. The shop lays the process out in five steps:
- Book by phone or through CityHeaven's online booking.
- Walk to the reception desk. You look at current therapist profiles and pick your course there.
- Go to a nearby partner hotel, or one you choose.
- The therapist meets you in the room.
- Shower, then the session.
Two promises at the desk matter. First, photos at reception show faces unmasked (顔全だし). The shop calls "she doesn't look like her picture" the biggest disappointment in the industry and says the desk is there to remove it. Second, payment is fully prepaid at reception. Prices include tax. Cards are accepted with a 10% fee, so the Amex costs you ¥2,000 on a ¥20,000 course. I paid cash.
The system page also says, in writing, that nothing gets charged beyond the course you agree on at the counseling step. No upsell in the room, no surprise bill afterward. As a New Yorker I don't believe that until it happens. It did.
The board
| Length | Price |
|---|---|
| 90 min | ¥20,000 |
| 120 min | ¥27,000 |
| 150 min | ¥34,000 |
| 180 min | ¥41,000 |
On top: nomination ¥3,000, membership fee ¥3,000 for first-timers, and a 30-minute extension at ¥9,000. Going from 90 to 120 at booking costs ¥7,000, and adding the same half hour in the room costs ¥9,000. Not as nasty a gap as some shops, but it's still ¥2,000 for indecision.
The base play includes a body wash, oil massage, topless, a hand finish with no limit on the number of finishes, full-body kisses, and what the shop calls deep lymph work. Paid options run ¥1,000 to ¥3,000 each (cosplay, eye mask, pantyhose, all-nude at ¥2,000, and so on). The shop says plainly that not every therapist offers every option, and that you'll be told at counseling what yours does.
There are two courses. The esthetic course is the normal one: she works, you lie there. The reverse esthetic course (逆エステ) flips the roles and you set the pace. It has its own small option list and costs the same ¥20,000 for 90 minutes before coupons.
Three coupons, one 90 minutes
This is the reason to read before calling. Every coupon on the page is open-ended (no end date) and every one prices the same 90 minutes differently:
- New customer: membership fee and nomination free. Esthetic course, 90 min, nominate anyone: ¥20,000 instead of ¥26,000. The event page calls it ¥6,000 off.
- Free-booking deal (reverse esthetic): no nomination, membership fee waived, and ¥3,000 off the course. Reverse course, 90 min: ¥17,000 instead of ¥23,000.
- "Super-contact oil" (one named therapist): double the usual amount of oil, normally a ¥2,000 add-on, for free, plus no membership fee. You still pay the nomination. ¥23,000 instead of ¥28,000.
The shop's own "manager's happy set" is 90 minutes plus nomination, pantyhose, all-nude and an oral option, listed at ¥29,000. That's the board price. Whether the new-customer deal comes off it, the page doesn't say, so I asked. Ask yourself too.
The logic is simple. If you want to choose by face, the new-customer coupon is the cheapest nomination you'll ever get here. If you don't care who walks in, the reverse course on the free deal is the floor at ¥17,000. I wanted to pick, so I paid ¥20,000 for the esthetic course, 90 minutes, plus ¥2,000 for all-nude. ¥22,000 total, cash, at the desk.
The session
The desk was quick. A short look at the profiles, a short counseling: course, options, what she'd do and wouldn't. Then a map to the hotel, a few minutes' walk. Nishi-Nippori at 10:30 a.m. is mostly delivery trucks and old ladies with shopping carts, so nobody gives a man walking toward a love hotel a second look.
She knocked a few minutes after I got the room. Shower first, then oil. The house style, per the shop, is to use the whole palm instead of fingertips, with slow, close strokes, and that's exactly how it went. Long passes down the back and legs, real pressure at the hips, then the slow turn toward the front where the "esthetic" label starts to mean something else. No rushing, no clock-watching. The "unlimited finishes" line on the board is real, though at 11 a.m. on a Saturday I'm a one-and-done guy.
The front desk earned its keep twice. She was the woman from the photo, no surprises. And nobody pitched me an extra option in the room, because everything had already been agreed and paid at the counter.
What I'd tell a friend
- Go in the morning. A 9:00 opening means you can be done before lunch, and Nippori is quiet.
- Pick your coupon before you call. Nomination → new-customer deal. No preference → reverse course on the free deal. Oil fan → the double-oil coupon.
- Bring cash. The 10% card fee is the most expensive "option" on the menu.
- Book the length you want up front. ¥7,000 at the desk vs. ¥9,000 in the room.
- The shop doesn't serve anyone under 18 or high-school students, and warns that blocked caller ID may not get through.
Verdict
X-ESTHE is a young shop with an old-school idea: a counter where you see the real photos, pay the real price, and walk to a hotel already knowing the total. The massage felt like an actual massage, and the coupons are generous if you read them in the right order. For a guy coming off the Skyliner with a few hours to kill, it's right on the airport line, with zero surprises.
