A lion on Senzoku 4-chome
Lions Club (ライオンズクラブ) sits at 4-32-7 Senzoku, Taito-ku. That's the middle of Yoshiwara, the old licensed quarter north of Asakusa where soaplands still line up block after block. CityHeaven files it under 高級, high-class. The official site, which still runs a copyright line from 2019 and a gold-framed hero photo, calls itself a "Yoshiwara first-class soap land." It says it has passed 30 years in business, and it leans on two words to explain why: 信用 and 実績, trust and track record.
The pitch is blunt. 容姿レベルは、ワンランク上の上質 — "looks a cut above." The site says it hires for appearance first and lists the types it stocks: slim model builds, curvy gravure figures, idol-cute faces, the neat college-girl look. It brags about H-cup busts and women in the 170 cm range. Then it adds that it screens for manners too, and wants women who talk softly and think about the man across from them.
Every shop says that. What I care about is what it writes down where a customer can check it.
The headline number, and the half you don't see
Here's the official price board, in full:
| Item | What the shop posts |
|---|---|
| 入浴料 (bath/room fee) | ¥32,400 / 120 min |
| Service fee | Not posted. "+サービス料" |
| Pair course (二輪車) | Ask by phone |
| Credit cards | Not accepted |
If you've never booked a Yoshiwara soap, that first row needs translating. The 入浴料 is the fee you pay the house for the room and the bath. The 総額, the total, also includes a service fee that goes to the woman, and Lions Club doesn't print that number anywhere I could find. CityHeaven shows the same thing: "入浴料32,400円+サービス料 / 120分." So ¥32,400 is the floor, not the bill. Ask for the 総額 on the phone and you'll get the real figure.
One detail I liked: the site says it has held prices at the tax-included rate from before September 30, 2019, which is when Japan's consumption tax went from 8% to 10%. Most places passed that 2% on to customers years ago, and this one says it didn't.
The other detail matters more: no credit cards. Bring cash, and bring enough for the full total, not the headline.
Booking: seven days out, no payphones, last call at 22:00
The rules are short, and they're strict about three things:
- Reservations open seven days ahead, not earlier.
- Hours are 12:00 to 24:00, and the last reservation is at 22:00. With a 120-minute course, that math makes sense. Don't call at 11 p.m. hoping to slide in.
- No reservations from public phones. They want a number they can call back.
The phone is 03-3873-5959. CityHeaven's standard line applies: tell them you saw the shop on Heaven (「ヘブン見た」).
Getting there: let them drive
Yoshiwara has no station of its own. You're a long walk from anything, and that's where the free pickup comes in. Lions Club's official system page lists these meeting points:
- JR Nippori Station, in front of the Doutor
- Minowa Station (Hibiya Line), in front of the Aoyama suit store
- Minami-Senju Station, at the Burger King
- Tawaramachi Station, in front of the post office
- Asakusa Station (Tobu Line), north exit, in front of the MOS Burger
CityHeaven also lists the Asakusa View Hotel as a pickup spot. The shop adds a polite warning that on busy days the pickup may need to be arranged case by case. Call when you book and tell them which station you're coming from.
The roster on a Thursday
I looked at the schedule for Thursday, October 29. The women on that day's board are listed as 20 to 23 years old, mostly working noon to 21:30 or 22:00. The heights skew tall for Japan, with several at 165 to 172 cm, which matches the "model build" pitch on the top page. A handful carry a 新人 tag; the new-face list shows hires from June through mid-October. Several profiles are marked 二輪車対応, meaning they do the pair course, which is the one course you have to price by phone.
The house writes long, polished introductions for its picks. The women's own profile notes are warmer and more ordinary: one says she's an indoor type who watches animal videos, another says she's a little shy at first. Read both. The house copy tells you the type; her own note tells you the person.
What the waiting room promises
The official top page describes a large waiting room with deep sofas and bright lighting. It also says the staff speak quietly and kneel when they serve you in the lounge, the old high-class Yoshiwara style. I can't vouch for the furniture from here. But that's exactly what a 高級 house sells, and the one that tells you so is telling you what to hold it to.
Bottom line for a first-timer
- Headline: ¥32,400 for 120 minutes is only the house fee. The total is higher. Ask for the 総額.
- Payment: cash only.
- Booking: up to 7 days ahead, last booking 22:00, not from a payphone.
- Transport: free pickup from Nippori, Minowa, Minami-Senju, Tawaramachi or Asakusa. Use it.
- Who: a young, tall-leaning roster, with pair-course options priced by phone.
