SM Club M-1 Kabukicho: A First-Timer Hands Over the Keys for 140 Minutes in Shinjuku

SM Club M-1 is a Kabukicho outcall SM club produced by the former owner of a legendary old-school SM house. A New Yorker who has never been on the receiving end books the 120-minute M training course with a mistress, adds the November 20-minute bonus, and breaks down a menu that runs from ¥10,000 date courses to a ¥1.4 million five-day package.

Elon
ElonM-1's price list is the longest I've read in Tokyo, and most of it isn't meant for you on your first night. Ignore the headline-grabbing courses. If you're curious about being on the receiving end, the M training course with the "Standard" setting is the real door: 120 minutes for ¥36,000, delivered to a Shinjuku hotel with free transport. This month, take the 20-minute extension rather than the 10% discount, because the math is better. Be clear on the phone about your limits. A good mistress builds the session around them, and this one did.

The confession up front

I'm the guy who picks the restaurant. I negotiate the lease. I tell the cab driver which bridge to take. Twenty years in New York trains you to be the one holding the wheel, and frankly it gets exhausting.

So on a gray Monday afternoon in Shinjuku, with the Halloween debris still being swept off the Kabukicho sidewalks, I decided to do something I'd only ever joked about. I was going to hand the wheel to someone else for two hours, and I was going to pay a professional to take it.

The shop

SM Club M-1 (SMクラブMー1, read esu-emu kurabu emu-wan) is listed as an outcall SM delivery club based in Shinjuku / Kabukicho. The pitch on its CityHeaven page is theatrical: "Welcome to the paradise of domination and submission." It also calls itself a "sex theme park" where "every fetish is affirmed." The line that caught my eye was smaller: produced by the former owner of a legendary long-running SM club. In this niche, pedigree matters. It means somebody has been thinking about safety and craft for a long time.

The basics:

  • Hours: 10:00 to 29:00 (that's 5 a.m.), no days off
  • Phone: 03-6273-8255. Mention "Heaven" when you call.
  • Base area: Shinjuku / Kabukicho (Shinjuku ward)
  • Official site: smclub-m1.com

The thing to understand about M-1 is that it runs in both directions. There are S courses, where you're in charge and the women on the roster are trained submissives (M-jo). There are also M courses, where a mistress (joō-sama, literally "queen") is in charge of you. The "Recommended" and "available now" lists on the top page are mostly the M-jo side. Mistress bookings go through the phone.

The menu is a novel. Here's the short version.

I've read shorter apartment leases. Here are the parts a first-timer actually needs.

M courses (a mistress leads you): the "training" (chōkyō) course

Length Price
70 min ¥21,000
90 min ¥27,000
120 min ¥36,000
180 min ¥51,000
300 min ¥100,000
30-min extension ¥10,000

Inside the training course you pick one of three settings, and this was the smartest part of the whole system:

  1. Ego-maso: for the greedy types. You get to be "a little demanding."
  2. Standard: the shop says outright that it's recommended for people trying SM for the first time.
  3. Absolute obedience: "the real training." She runs everything.

There are other M-side courses too. A date-only course (80 minutes, ¥10,000) covers dinner, a walk, and talking through future play, and the shop is firm that outdoor exposure is not allowed. A seikan course (60 min ¥18,000 / 90 min ¥25,000 / 120 min ¥34,000) focuses on passive pleasure: prostate play, dry orgasm, feather touch. There's a double-mistress version of the training course (80 min ¥48,000 to 180 min ¥102,000). Then come several specialist courses with names I'll let you read on the page yourself.

S courses (you lead) start with the M-1 Soft course, 90 minutes for ¥30,000, and a 70-minute trial course for ¥22,000 that's limited to the Kabukicho and Okubo area. Prices climb steeply from there. The long-stay ladder goes from a 6-hour course at ¥100,000 up to the "Kaiser" course: 120 hours for ¥1,400,000. I'd love to meet the man who books that one, from a safe distance.

Nomination fees: mistress photo nomination ¥1,000, regular nomination ¥2,000. M-jo photo nomination is free, and regular nomination is ¥2,000.

Transport: free within Shinjuku ward and the Ikebukuro area of Toshima. It's ¥1,000 for Shibuya and Nakano, and rises to ¥7,000 for the far side of the 23 wards.

Coupon: "Heaven-wari," 10% off the 90-minute Soft course (¥27,000 instead of ¥30,000). That's an S-side deal.

The November math

M-1's November-only event (10/31 to 11/30, no conditions) lets you choose one of these:

  • a free 20-minute extension, or
  • 10% off the play fee (capped at ¥5,000),

and they also throw in free transport within the 23 wards.

On a ¥36,000 training course, 10% off saves ¥3,600. Twenty extra minutes, at the shop's own rate of ¥10,000 per 30, is worth about ¥6,700. I took the minutes. It turned out to be the right call, because the slowest, best part of the session came at the very end.

The call

The phone call is where an SM session actually begins, and M-1's staff treated it that way. My Japanese is basic, so I kept it simple: M course, training, Standard, 120 minutes, the November extension, and a hotel in Kabukicho. I didn't nominate anyone. I told them it was my first time.

That last sentence changed the tone of the call. The staffer slowed down and asked about my NG list: what was off the table. He also asked whether there was anything I specifically wanted to try. He noted that some mistresses don't take certain courses, and said he'd match me with someone suited to beginners. Then he confirmed the total.

My bill: ¥36,000. Free nomination, free transport in Shinjuku, 140 minutes of time. The hotel was on me.

The session

I won't give a play-by-play, and not just to keep this clean. The point of a session like this is that you don't know what's coming next, and spelling it out would spoil it for the next guy.

What I can tell you is how it was built. She arrived in a long coat with a small hard case. Before anything started she sat on the edge of the bed, notebook out, and spent ten minutes going over my NG list again, in slow English and slower Japanese. Then she set a safe word, and checked my wrists, my shoulders, and my blood pressure history. Only then did the coat come off and the voice change.

The Standard setting is well named. It was psychological more than physical: posture, waiting, being told no, being made to ask properly. Restraint was light, and a firm, steady hand did most of the work. It was the strangest kind of relief. For the first time in months, nobody needed a decision from me.

Those last twenty bonus minutes were the aftercare: tea, a debrief, and a frank conversation about what had worked. She told me that most first-timers either laugh nervously the whole time or go completely silent. I did both, apparently.

House rules (read these, seriously)

M-1's rules apply to the customer as much as anyone. It will stop the session with no refund for:

  • under-18s (high school students included)
  • any demand for intercourse (honban)
  • slapping, biting, or other violence by the customer. Yes, even in an SM club. Whatever happens is the professional's job, inside the agreed menu.
  • invitations to meet outside the shop, hidden recording, or scouting
  • keeping her past the paid time
  • organized-crime ties, drug use, heavy drunkenness, or poor hygiene

There's a reason these rules matter. SM only works when the boundaries are rock-solid, and M-1 enforces them in writing. I didn't see any foreign-customer ban on the pages I read. But booking is by phone in Japanese, and some courses are mistress-dependent, so ask before you assume.

Verdict

Beginner path (Training, Standard) ★★★★★, the shop literally labels it
Pre-session consultation ★★★★★, the NG list got checked twice
Value in November ★★★★☆, 140 min for ¥36,000 with free Shinjuku transport
Menu clarity ★★★☆☆, thorough, but it's a phone book
Hours ★★★★★, 10 a.m. to 5 a.m., every day
For visitors ★★★☆☆, phone booking in Japanese, mistress matching by phone

M-1's menu is built to shock, and parts of it will. But underneath the ¥1.4 million headline and the specialist courses is a well-organized shop with a clear beginner path. Its staff ask the right questions before anyone touches anything. If you've always been the one holding the wheel, try 120 minutes of Standard.

I walked out onto Yasukuni-dori at dusk feeling ten pounds lighter, and for once I let the crosswalk signal tell me when to go.
